I decided to start this mainly for myself...I have a terrible memory. I have so many memorable moments that have happened with my boys over the years and sometimes I randomly remember things that I would like to have a record of because who knows if I will be able to recall that memory ever again. After having Davis I have once again been reminded of the many precious things that are experienced that I never want to forget.
I guess I will start with something funny Carson said the other day. I had taken him to Erin (Davis' babysitter) because he had gotten out of school early and I still had to work. This is the first time Carson has been there in over a year and first time he has been there when Davis was there. Erin had Davis in his carseat in the kitchen with her when she sent Carson down to the basement to watch a movie with the other kids. During that time she had Davis out to let him stretch and had him in the swing as well...she had just put him back in the carseat when Carson came back up from watching the movie. He went over to give Davis a kiss...looked at Erin and said..."Don't you think he has been in that carseat long enough." Awww....big brother looking out for his little brother.
We took Davis to the ER over the weekend..apparently he must have bumped his head on something without us knowing. I noticed while holding him that he had some swelling on the right side of his head. They did a CAT scan and it showed that it was a hemotoba which is a fancy name for a bruise. The weird thing is that it never was red or looked bruised...just swollen and soft to the touch. That was a four hour trip but well worth it to make sure everything was ok. Grandpa Dean picked Davis up from daycare for the first time yesterday...he offered to pick him up everyday so he can see him. I think that he is beginning to get a little stir crazy after retiring a couple months ago.
Tom is going to be going to the Iowa/Minnesota game this weekend with Jarret. They will be meeting Nate and his girlfriend Melissa and staying at Nate's mom's apartment. He is pretty excited about this...not sure what me and the boys will be doing. Andrea offered to have us come down and do some Christmas shopping but I think Carson might wrestle in the Humboldt wrestling tournament this weekend.
Cayden and Carson spent the first week with their dad at their new house last week and that seemed to go well. They started to get their rooms put together and Grandma Deb came over to make them curtains for their rooms.
We will busy this week with wrestling and church...and if Carson has a good week at school I told him he could have a friend stay the night sometime this weekend.
Back to work...hopefully I will be good about updating this!!
